GOAL 1 – INCREASE MEMBERSHIP TEN PERCENT PER YEAR (26 NEW MEMBERS PER YEAR) FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS

ACTION PLAN

• Convert unpaid members to paid members

• Establish a membership development committee chaired each year by the immediate past president

• Membership Survey

• Sub-Specialty Committees do one CLE seminar per year

• Updated Promotional Materials

• Mass Mailing / E-Mail Blasts

• Telethon

• Target Commercial / Business Litigators

• Incentive Plan for Ambassadors

• Push it from the podium

• Emphasize member benefits

GOAL 2 – INCREASE ATTENDANCE AT LUNCHEONS, DINNERS, AND SEMINARS

ACTION PLAN

• Great speakers and programs

• Greater emphasis on promotion

• Allow more opportunities for networking and fellowship

• Make meetings more fun and entertaining

• Give everyone something they can take home with them

• All seminars must be CLE

 



GOAL 3 – BROADEN OUR BASE AWAY FROM PLAINTIFF’S PERSONAL INJURY

ACTION PLAN

• Currently, we have the following sub-specialty committees:

o Consumer
o Criminal
o Domestic Relations
o Employment
o Medical Malpractice
o Negligence/Insurance
o Probate
o Workers Compensation

• Consider adding Business/Commercial Litigation

• Support and encourage existing committees to grow and develop

• Have committees come together and put on seminars in different practice areas

• Recruit members in other practice areas

• Public Relations efforts in other practice areas

 



GOAL 4 – STRENGTHEN TIES WITH OAJ / AAJ / CBA / OSBA

ACTION PLAN

• Invite the leaders of these organizations to attend our meetings

• Allow the leaders of these organizations to address our membership on issues involving their organizations

• Partner with these organizations on seminars, service projects, legal-related projects, and projects involving improving the judicial system

• Partner with these organizations on public relations
